AnimState is a Collective of Professional Animators Dedicated to Promoting, Inspiring and Advancing the craft of interactive animation. To do this, we focus on the what, how and why

The what is everything that goes into bringing an interactive character’s performance to life. Traditional Animation. Technical Animation. Programming. Game Design. Acting. Writing. Modeling. VFX. It is the sum of all these parts that bring a character to life, so understanding and informing what we all bring to the discussion is key.

The how is diving into the specifics of each one of these discipline’s skill sets. From low level process breakdowns and tutorials to high level conversations about how best to apply different approaches, this is where having an industry wide platform allows for the entire industry to level up and share in both our successes and failures.

And finally, the why is all about the reasons we want create the character’s and experiences we craft. Because what is the point of learning how to make interesting, meaningful pieces of art, if we have nothing to say?

By focusing on all three of those questions, AnimState can fully Share, Promote and Inspire the people tackling the challenges of interactive animation everyday and create an industry wide resource that we can all use to grow.
